Bright and early -- wait, correction: cloudy and early Saturday morning I woke up to join a couple thousand Chicagoans to run the second annual Santa Hustle 5k in the first large snowfall of the season.
It.
Was.
Cold.
And wet.
And windy.
But I must admit running along the lake with snow falling all around was a really neat experience.
On the right side of the frame is by very bestest friend Kara. She is an accomplished runner and could have finished this 5k in 20 minutes. But instead, she stuck right next to me and ran between 11 and 12 minute miles (that's a brisk walk for her!)
