We're enjoying 50 degree weather today in Chicago. Yes, it's rainy and foggy but we're not complaining! Is spring beginning?!
The crocus is one of the very first flowers to bloom in the spring. When I was younger, my mom and I picked out a special place in our yard for me to plant my own garden. Sitting on the top corner of the large hill our home sat on and I'd pass it each morning as I ran down the hill to the school bus stop. Crocuses were planted there and every morning towards the end of winter, I'd watch for them to pop up.
Looking forward to a time when I can plant a garden again. Until then I'll enjoy fresh cut flowers this spring and summer and watching the trees bloom in the park across the street from my apartment building.
