My studio is very small. Maybe 400 sq ft. Maybe?
I have my bed area. I have my desk area. My kitchen is tucked around the corner, so no need to rearrange/improve anything there. My closet is fantastic cause it's more of a small hallway connecting to the bathroom -- ok with all that.
The couch/living room area is where some improvement needs to be made. And I am anxious to get this done because I feel like it'll all come together once this area is done.
The first step was finding some sort of shelving unit for my books, nick-nacks and the television. I found the piece below for $100 on craigslist. The woman selling it labeled every single piece and brought it from the suburbs to my door step. $100 well spent in my opinion. I sanded the entire piece and painted it black. I'll post a picture of the finished piece next week (build a little suspense!)
The second step will be to find a rug and a coffee table I can refinish -- big fan of taking old (aka cheap) pieces and paint them.
