I had friends over a couple weekends back for cocktails and while sitting in my antique bistro chair one of my friend's boyfriend leaned forward to grab a card in the game we were playing, and when he leaned back again the chair leg caught the carpet wrong and SNAP, Dave's butt was on the floor and the poor kid was so embarrassed. I posted a bit ago about having directors chairs on my winter wish list, but I needed new seating ASAP and grabbed a couple from Pier 1 last week.
I'm really happy with them and think they look great. (The pillows are from Nesta on Etsy.) I also snagged an entire collection of my father's favorite books from my sister's condo in Chicago. I love having them out -- there are even some page markers in a few, like a flight ticket, etc. I rearranged the bookshelf to show off the collection and am very happy with the new design.
I've been in my studio for just over a year and still love it so much -- could use some more space of course, but I'm not complaining!
