I cannot believe I haven't written since May. Oh wait, yes of course I can believe that because this summer has been BANANAS! The last I wrote I was about to jump head first into all of it, and boy oh boy has it been fun!
May was quite full with my very best friend's birthday, hosting a bridal shower and mom's weekend and then hosting my sister's baby shower. June was busy with the Third Annual Bday Flip Cup Tourney for yours truly (my best friend from college came in for that weekend!) and then a business trip and wedding in Cleveland. July was amazing as it brought me a baby nephew! Jonathan James was born on July 19th and he's the most precious baby that has ever lived. Biased? Uh, duh! August was here before I knew it and I was off to California with my 4 best friends! We had a wonderful 5 day weekend in Wine Country topped off with a most lucious wedding.
So here I am in the middle of August wondering where the summer has gone. I didn't even go to a Cubs game! I know, I know, that's blasphemy here in Chi-Town and I am so ashamed. But as the tag line of this blog states: life is in the details. And holy cow do I have some phenomenal details! I have an amazing family (with a new member!), amazing friends who make me laugh until I cry, a secure job that I am good at, a comforting home (renewed my lease for a year) and I have so much ahead of me (hint hint fate, go ahead and bring me Mr. Right.)
Oh and I FINALLY got a coffee table -- ha -- I ordered it just this morning.
Cheers to months going by in a blur, but trying (somehow!) to enjoy each and every moment.
